The New York Film Festival opens Friday, Sept 30, with 13TH by Ava DuVernay and will premiere on Netflix on Friday, October 7. Film and Video Studies at Mason professor of Cinematography Hans Charles is Director of Photography on this Netflix produced doc that focuses on the history of black oppression in the United States.
