Film and Video Studies is excited to present a new screening series in collaboration with its course FAVS 225 – History of World Cinema. The Cinema Classic Series is a rare opportunity to see classic film on the big screen!
A samurai is murdered and his wife raped. Through a series of flashbacks Kurasowa weaves a narrative both true and false which begs the question from The Guardian “Truth, history, memory and the past … are these just fictions?”
